emPOWER Cloud is our private cloud infrastructure-as-a-service, built on HPE infrastructure and consumed under a GreenLake model. This section covers what the platform provides, the availability commitments attached to it, and the reasoning behind choosing dedicated private cloud over shared hyperscale tenancy.

The platform carries a 99.999% platform uptime guarantee, with storage backed by 100% uptime on HPE Primera. It includes disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS), storage as a service (STaaS), and immutable data protection — backup data that cannot be altered or encrypted after it is written, which is the property that allows backups to survive a ransomware event.

The distinguishing point for evaluators is Customer Zero: we run our own business on emPOWER Cloud, on the same infrastructure and under the same service-level structure we provide to customers. That makes the platform's behaviour under real operating conditions something we can demonstrate rather than assert.

Private cloud suits organisations whose compliance position benefits from dedicated infrastructure, or whose workloads have predictable resource profiles where consumption-based hyperscale pricing offers no advantage. Recovery point and recovery time objectives are defined at the service level and confirmed against the applicable service catalogue rather than quoted from general material.
